Michelangelo: Quest for Genius

This is the drawings by the famous man Michelangelo. Just looking at this drawing it is clear that this man was moderately fit. there is a very good use of cross hatching that creates depth and shadows. While there are partial drawings within the picture it doesn't feel incomplete. This would be fun to replicate as well. There is a lot of fobs, flubs and dudley dos.

I'm literally obsessed with this artist. The cross hatching and the sheer detail of this is more then enough to give a detailed discription of the land. Even with the detail from the cross hatching there were patches of colors in the leaves. The picture is also very aesthetically pleasing to my eyes.

This cross hatching is by the same artist yet much less clearer. It appears to be an image of a person but I'm not exactly sure what that is. The composition of the image is very dark and while the light can show through it is not enough to over power. The use of lights and darks make up the picture. It almost feels as if the whites are the lines within the paper.

This Illustration is amazing! I really enjoy the use of colors that goes from lights to darks and vice versa. The lighter colors really draws the eyes of the on looker. although there is a focal point in this picture it does not feel unwelcome. The land in the painting is not particularly realistic, however it is uses enough symbols that allow a person to imagine a real land. What adds an element of interest to the painting is the use of circles that add a glare to the picture. Makes you feel well.

What's interesting about this piece of work is the fact that is a few images ripped up and pasted together. Not only that but it appears as if part of the image is a real photo and part of it appears to be a drawing. Having these broken up images is almost more interesting then if it had just been a drawing or just been a picture.

The materials are a thick metallic with a gloss that covers over it to make it have a paintable surface. The flower is a type of paint that makes a clear cut flower line. It gives it an almost sharpie like image. The lines that are especially together between the two petal leaves. The lines weaved together make a shadowed petal layer.

This certainly not a representation of anything in real life. This is an abstract image of circles and lines. There is an interesting uses of grays to tone down the warm colors of yellow, orange, and red followed by the cooler colors of greens and blues. The use of circles in a curvature create a centrifugal motion within the frame.

This is a general line drawing of a scene. It looks as if it is the first step of someones painting. However it also looks very good staying as it is. It uses thicker lines and thinner to represent depth or some sort. However it is also clear that that it is water color for the thicker lines. The thicker lines could also look like ink. The most detail appears to be in the truck but that doesn't take away from the rest of the drawing.
