1.
Find an object or shape in the studio.
Placing it on your sheet, trace around it with pencil a multiple of
times. Fill in some or all of these
shapes created. Work on this for a
minimum of 15 minutes.
2.
Cut or tear a few or many shapes from regular printer paper. Using a Glue stick lightly tack these down
on your sheet. Draw lines or tones over
your whole sheet for 15 min., before removing the paper pieces.
3.
Place your drawing on the wall and look at it of 10 minutes. Figure out 3 things to change, draw for 5
min.
4.
Trade drawings with a classmate and pick one new card for each of you to draw
from.
5.
Glue a new piece of paper ¼ to ½ the size of your drawing, on top of your
sheet.
6.
Cut at least one hole in your sheet of paper.
7.
Erase all or part of your drawing for 15 minutes.
8.
Invent a small shape and repeat that shape on your sheet for 15min.
9.
Find an object to draw from on your sheet for at least 15 min.
10. Find a view to draw from on your sheet for at
least 15 min.
11.
Cross-hatch on your sheet for 15 min.
12.
Find an interesting section of a drawing, from the files provided. Copy this
section for at least 15 min.
13.
Do strict blind contour drawing on your page for at least 15 min.
14.
Fill in negative space shapes on your page with tone for at least 15 min.
15.
Fill in positive space shapes on your page with tone for at least 15 min.
16.
Come up with a single word to repeat on your page, at different scales from
small to large, for 15 min.
17.
Create a gradation from dark to light in ¼ to ½ of your page.
18.
Place your drawing on the wall and look at it of 10 minutes. Figure out 3
things to change, draw for 5 min.
19.
Do a line drawing on your page from an object from 3 different views in the
same place on your sheet.
20.
Trade a card from a classmate.
21.
Draw 5-7 dots on your paper. Connect
these in whatever way you choose.
22.
Find an interesting section of a drawing, from the files provided. Copy this
section for at least 15 min.
23.
Cut your drawing in half. Turn one half
around and reattach it to other sheet to have a complete page.
24.
With a pencil, lightly draw 4-12 curvilinear lines freehand, across your page
from edge to edge. Fill in some of the
shapes created with tone. Work on this
for a minimum of 15 min.
25.
With a ruler or a straightedge, use a pencil to lightly draw 4-12 lines across
your page from edge to edge. Fill in
some of the shapes created with tone.
Work on this for a minimum of 15 min.
26.
Practice drawing line quality for 15 min.
27.
Using pencil, draw whatever you want on
your page for 15 min.
28.
Using ballpoint pen, draw whatever you want on your page for 15 min.
29.
Using white conte, draw whatever you want on your page for 15 min.
30.
Draw whatever you want with whichever materials you want for 15 minutes
31.
Add frottage to your drawing by taking rubbings from various textures around
the building for 15 min.
32.
Erase all or part of your drawing for 15 minutes.
33.
Go and get a drink, for 15 min.

Choose another card

Draw with your non-dominant hand on your page for 15 min.
36.
Draw with your eyes tightly closed for 15 minutes.
37.
Lightly draw the outline of three shapes on your page. Fill each in with a different, but related
pattern.
38.
Place your drawing on the wall and look at it of 10 minutes along side that of
a classmate. Work together to figure out 3 things to change in each of your
drawings. Draw for 15 min.
39.
Cut or tear 3-7 pieces of white paper before gluing them on your drawing.
40.
Cut or tear 3-7 pieces of paper. Lightly spray them with spray paint. Glue on
your drawing.
41.
Cut or tear up an old drawing. Glue all or part of it on your page.
42.
Find a photograph that inspires you. Bring it in to draw from next week.
43.
Find an artist that inspires you. Bring in an image to draw from next week.
